In a recent interview with EmpresaXXI, Zabalgarbi’s General Manager highlighted the collaboration with Lointek in a key project to improve the efficiency and sustainability of its waste to energy plant.

Lointek is manufacturing an incineration steam superheater, essential for the new operational phase of Zabalgarbi. This investment will reduce gas consumption by 80-85%, significantly reducing carbon emissions and improving competitiveness in the export of electricity. The equipment will be ready for installation in May 2025.

This collaboration exemplifies how Lointek and Zabalgarbi share a commitment to sustainability and technological innovation. According to Zabalgarbi’s CEO, this alliance marks the beginning of a series of initiatives to optimise the energy recovery from waste and meet future challenges with a sustainable approach.
